What is an industrial visit, and what does ours include?
An industrial visit (often called an IV or industry visit) is a supervised trip where students watch real production, maintenance and quality work, then question the engineers and managers who run it. Done well, it is the one day of the semester that makes the syllabus make sense.
Industrial visit for engineering students, by branch
- Mechanical and Automobile: assembly lines and component plants in Pune
- Computer Science and ECE: IT campuses and electronics units in Bangalore and Hyderabad
- Electrical: power plants and solar installations
- Chemical and Pharmacy: pharma plants and QC labs
- MBA and BBA: logistics hubs, operations and HR sessions
What is included in every industry visit
Plant shortlisting and confirmation, the institute approval letter format, an industry visit MOU, train or bus travel, 3-star or better hotels, meals, a safety briefing, a trained tour manager, insurance for every student and an attendance certificate after the tour. One faculty member travels free for every 25 paying students.
